Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
That sounds really painful! Who's dogs where fighting?
Ours. It was dinner time and one of them got too close to the other one's bowl while my daughter was walking by. He snapped at the one and the other one turned and accidentally hit my daughter instead of the dog.

Not me, I slept on the couch all night... Still lying here in fact.

My daughter got in the middle of a dog fight last night and caught a tooth in her calf :face-with-rolling-eyes: so my wife wanted to keep an eye on her just in case.
She didn't have a fever or anything, Tim? Hugs to you all

My wife was showing me pics of my son a year ago and I can't believe how pudgy of a baby he was vs now he looks like a actual little boy. I swear, it won't be much longer and he'll be putting me in a home :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Wait until he has kids and you see yourself in him when he grows as a father. It's humbling

Oh my I hope she heals quickly

Dang Kevin, a fish AND a coral? This is such a lame part of the hobby. Whichever coral you choose to add up there, it'll be awesome. If you're attached to the birdsnest, that makes complete sense, but your torch skills are off the charts. Either way, I'm hating this for you. You had my back when I had an incident like this. I'm going to keep checking on you too.
Thanks John, after 20 years of doing this, with a 10 year break, it really doesn’t effect me like it did in the beginning. I just roll with it now. If you think about it I lost a very inexpensive fish and coral that are easy to find. I get to feel the thrill of buying a new fish and coral which I haven’t done in a long time.

Yep me too....
Had something I was going to say, someone I wanted to respond to....
Although I’m your elder, we are in the same boat Joel.

Now that's how you do optimism! Can't wait to see where you go next. Way to reframe all of this!

Good morning Smorgasbord

Man that plate just keeps getting more and more beautiful! I have to be honest I never was going to purchase one but you have changed my mind. I have not mentioned it but I’m planning on upgrading my tank this year, I lease don’t tell anyone, I want to surprise the Smorg but I am definitely adding that to my must have coral list.

Sending my best Tim hope she's OK. :smiling-face:

Ha I was thinking the same thing since I won’t pay shipping as I’ll drive over and pick them up, no shipping. Old men think alike!

So sorry for your daughter’s injury, I’ll be praying she heals quickly.

Well if both is an option than definitely do both!

Ok, which one, please chime in Tim, I think you have one of these?

I've had the Bird of Paradise in a previous tank - beautiful coral! Currently I have the Blue Zing - also beautiful! The Blue Zing is an accidental hybrid of the Green and the Bird of Paradise if I remember correctly. Both are beautiful, the Blue Zing just has the best of both worlds - thicker branches from the green handle more flow and the color contrast from the Bird of Paradise makes it a looker. Bird of Paradise is still beautiful but slightly more temperamental I believe.
