Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I tried but that didn’t work. What return pump do you have?

On the app it said pump was running dry and a few different alerts.
I have a couple of different ones. I think the one I'm running on this tank is a Rio+ or something like that. I've got a cheapo one from the Mazon and I have an IOAOI.

Read in another R2R thread that pencil urchins (some pencil urchins?) can prey on coral. Last night I think my pencil urchin mowed down a bunch of pulsing xenia. Has been moved to the sump. Maybe it will eat Aiptasia

They eat coral skeletons so they shouldn't eat softies. Mine ate half of a colony of struggling Galaxea, but only the skeleton side.

Oh, okay. This is the thread I was referring to by @ISpeakForTheSeas. He makes it sound like they'll eat anything.
Post in thread 'Pencil urchin - ate part of formia sea star!' https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/pencil-urchin-ate-part-of-formia-sea-star.1110569/post-13620656
Could very well be. There are two different "Pencil Urchins". One variety eats mostly only algae from my understanding, the other will eat corals. The one I had ate my Galaxea and a mostly dead Acropora. I never saw it eat anything else (except rock and algae).

I should say two different Urchins sold as Pencil Urchins, not necessarily two different varieties of Pencil Urchins.

Yeah, partly guesswork of course. But I'm pretty sure that rock was covered in xenia last night. The pencil urchin was in front by the glass when I went to bed, and behind the rock this morning. He was easy to move to the sump. If another grove of xenia disappears he'll have an alibi. 😁😅

Get some wins, and we'll rock out tonight. You were killing it with the jams last night
2 kids - one loss, one win. so one more night and they win, they are the champs. But due to the loss, we don't have to play that one and get to eat dinner. ;-)

So many tunes that can't be posted ;-( I don't think I've repeated anything yet. could be wrong but trying not to repeat a song at least. but artists have been.

See you tonight. I'm hungry.
