Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Do you guys think this will be enough to keep another clown goby from jumping? The front will be covered by the glass lid then i made this for the open part at the back.
Looks good it should work!

Your sump being acrylic vs glass is somewhat irrelevant. The sump is a container for water that drains down from the HOB and is then pumped back to the tank by the return pump. As a rule, sumps are usually out of sight, although not always (witness Joel's setup). Glass is less subject to scratches when cleaning, but some folks don't really scrape their sumps. Mine is acrylic. I did drill it, but that is because I switched from internal submersible pumps to an external pump.
thank you Wes for clearing this up for him. it was making me wondering what was going on.

im really sorry about your fish Amanda. ive always wanted one of those. hopefully you can find another!
really neat fish tim! what is it?
The good news about the Lemon/Citron gobies is that they're usually the more readily available at Petco and most of the LFS I visit. The green, black, and red ones are less available.

As Paul mentioned, mine is a Green Banded Goby.

wow! i envy people who can just go to a store and get a fish!
Me to and corals. I mean I can but it's over an hour away. My lfs rarely gets neat stuff unless I ask for it specifically.

Yellow Clown Goby and yes I can order another one now that I have fixed the lid.

It's very pretty!

Hey folks, crazy busy week, but I survived so that's good! Many more weeks just like that ahead, so don't expect much from me.

Today we went apple picking. Here's a homemade apple pie, fresh outta the oven and what will become apple butter on the stove. The house smells amazing!
