It was a generous gift from the one and only @Rocks reef , thanks Rock!

Quick question to everyone who cultures/does phyto. How important is phyto really? I crashed my Phyto culture a couple weeks ago because I had a culture with mixed phyto and bought a single strain culture and decided to swap over to the single strain. In the end it did not make it. With pods I really just use RG complete which is very potent and they love it. I just harvested the two gallon cultures of tisbe pods and they were crazy full crawling on the glass all around etc. I reset those two cultures and kind of have that down pat.

I honestly was really not a fan of doing a full reset cleaning the container etc. Do people culture phyto and just remove some & then add new saltwater to the mix? Also if I did start again anyone have an idea of what strain to go for and where a good source would be.
I save some and add salt water. I scrub the containers each time though. Otherwise the phyto crusts on the side and blocks the light. I haven't ever sanitized/sterilized though.

Simon served master of ceremonies (MC) today for the first time. He was justifiably proud of himself afterward. He did well.
