Still going on, how was your wacky Wednesday?
Oddly busy.

Hope it went well for you not too Wacky I hope...

Finally made it to the lake house. Super long drive. Not feeling too well, hoping it's just because I am tired and not Covid.

My favorite place, I make any excuse to go there to hang out!

Ok can we talk about how to kill brush algea? Would a refugium help? It's getting worse in my tank. The Lawnmower Blenny is helping with what sometimes gets on the glass but it's also on the rocks. I have tried to pull off as much as I can but I can't get to all of it. Also how do you guys clean your wavemakers I take mine out and scrub them with a toothbrush and a green scrubby but there are places I can't get to.

Do you mean turf algae?

Yes that's it! Turf algea.
Manual removal Amanda.
As Jill mentioned scrubbing, scrubbing and more scrubbing.
What are your parameters?

What are your parameters?
I will have to check them tomorrow as I'm already laying down. The only thing that was off last time I checked was Magnesium but I added that to it.

Ok, I have never dealt with turf algae so hopefully someone who has will chime in. I believe both urchins and emerald crabs will eat it but like gha you’ll probably need to keep it trimmed down. If you want to go the chemical route I think Reef Flux will take care of it but it might come back if the root cause isn’t dealt with. This suggestion is an unknown but when I had gha dosing hydrogen peroxide helped tremendously. Take all I said with a grain of salt as I have not dealt with it.
