So good and bad news this morning. Well, really only bad news. And 2 things.

As you all know, the coral shipment hasn't updated yet, which isn't a good sign.

The other thing is that my anthias passed away last night.

The good news, I guess, is that my other seven fish are healthy, and eating as of now, so hopefully whatever happened to my anthias won't cause other fish to die to.

Take care my friend.
I was disowned 2 or 3 times.
I'm the oldest of 3,grew up in the 80's with an ex navy, extremely religious father.
It was speak when spoken to in my family.
I never had much of a relationship with either of my parents, still don't.
They're both still alive, my dad's sort of been trying to talk but it's hard after 56 years, lots of bad feelings on my part.
Lost my sister 2 years ago to a 40 year battle with drugs and alcohol.
She disowned the family 25 years ago.
Last time I talked to her was about 20 years ago.
Family is so hard.
Best we can do is take the good and make it better, take the bad and not do those things.

Thank God that with all you went through, you have maintained such a kind and beautiful soul. I may have never actually met you in person Joel, but it is so easy to just feel your kindness and genuine affection towards others. You are very intentional about making sure each of us feels talked to, recognized, and cared for.

You had several full grown people share some of the hardest parts of their lives on your thread yesterday. That's a beautiful thing. I hear your story, and I just want to let you know that I feel you absolutely overcame that to become an amazing man.
Thanks for creating such a nice safe harbor for all of us weirdos that love fish.

Our talk the other day about power outages got my anxiety going hahhah

I’m looking into getting the ecotech battery backup for my return since it also feeds my frag tank that will help flow now I’m questioning heat so obviously the answer is UPS backup connected to the apex and I’m. It going to cheap out I would 100% buy the largest so do I even need the ecotech backup?

Filled the black tank up with RODI water last night. There was a small amount of salt water left in the bottom and SG was 1.003. Added 25# of salt. Today SG was 1.018. This guy helped me add another 15ish pounds (I ran out of salt, need to get more).

I'm sorry all for your loss. I can't totally understand what you all went through, but I lost a baby sister (Catriona) 12 hours after birth who had Trisomy 18 almost 2 years ago.

I didn’t sleep well last night. My mind was restless and I’ve no idea why hopefully today the toddlersaurus will behave lol.

So I have created a few problems with my tank all my fish are moved over from a old system youngest fish is my 6 line at 3 years my clowns are 7-8 watchman goby and his fire shrimp are 5-6 they have always been friendly and broadcast fed daily now on my new tank i setup a Neptune feeder and a feed ring it goes off twice a day i still occasionally hand feed to interact with them i feel that’s still very important i need the feed ring because slowing or shutting down the return messes with my skimmer and causes temp swings in my frag tang all located in the basement also takes my herbie a while to regulate after kicking back on (all something I need to figure out) now whoever said fish are not smart this feed ring has only been installed for a week or two and my larger clown fish has claimed it his frequently checking it and knows minutes in advance before this feeder gos off and stay there chasing away the other fish anytime they get close to the ring now the other clown has a small rip in tail I never imagined ide deal with food aggression and I’m concerned the goby is not getting food the struggle of reefing just when you think you got it all figured out

My wife has a watchman and she has to feed her guy with a turkey baster. He's just spoiled and doesn't like to move out of his den. He won't eat broadcast food. Maybe try to spot feed him? You're right though, it's a problem a day in reefing

Hang in there Walker, perhaps it wasn’t in the best of health when you got it and there was nothing you could have done. Although it’s part of the hobby it sucks to lose a fish.
