Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I wanna get a new fish in there so bad. But its a terrible idea lol. Ive got 5 gallons of saltwater.. I think I'm gonna pull rocks again specifically the two on the right side. And maybe the one on the left. Only problem I have is the amount of cuc in the tank now could cause issues I don't wanna kill them by dipping them into a new bucket of water.
How are you cleaning the rock? Are you using a toothbrush? If bot give a toothbrush a try. Works great

I have several two gallon buckets that I can use until I can get something prettier. Lol
I used a plastic box from Home Depot in the Biocube 32 that fit perfectly in the stand. Something that fits in the stand where you are going to put the tank would be perfect, I don't think it has to be very big.

You are busy with work my friend, high po4 and problems with my 3 favias and a torch head that bail out
But you got a plan of attack now I see? Fingers crossed for ya bud!

This should brighten your morning Joel (or evening). My middle daughter in 2018. She didn't usually like having her picture taken, but she liked this tank so much that she asked to have this one taken.

Made my whole morning waking up to this!
Thank you Wes!

So reefers, what plans do you have for the tank or tanks this week?
Im continuing on my fish tank room in the basement, how about you?

I really need to frag my Raja Rampage chalice, I’ve let it get to big. Might frag my candy cane, it’s up to 20 heads and if that’s the case perhaps my gold hammer. We will see , I really hate fragging.
I wish I had these problems haha

Better or worse than a turkey baster for cyano kinds of stuff on a 120g tank worth of rock? :grinning-face-with-sweat:

Looks nice Bev!
We're finally in the 40's.
I’m excited to have curtains and doors open. Once we get the yard fenced I can throw the dogs out too. And out the side door at that, Rivers getting too old to climb the porch in the back side door has half a step up for her

15 gallon change today on the big tank
Aiptasia killing also.
I disconnected the sump from the little tank and need to clean the skimmer in there, break that down.

I'm hoping to finish my "pod highway" with help from my kids. I thought of some modifications, so I have to run to town for a couple more parts.

Well let's see. Kessils are at 100% intensity. I'll cut lighting down, I'll start mass producing DI water so I can mix saltwater. I've got an icecap skimmer. What do you think about a sea hare and another tux?
Is something wrong with the water you've been using? Don't fix a problem that doesn’t exist

What tester is that?
That's the api spin test at my lfs. He charges like 3 bucks to test everything. I still check everything on my own, but this is a good second opinion or "report card" test. I look for stability here.

If anyones interested I just bombed my tank thread with new pics I took tonight.

Come take a look! smittens been there. You should come too! See what a well planned out - low maintenance, no skimmer, no mech filtration (no socks, fleece rollers, etc), no water change reef can be!

Still one of the very best modern reef keeping styles and habitat that exists imo. Well done VR

So reefers, what plans do you have for the tank or tanks this week?
Adding a few corals this week Luis. I made a few purchases last night.
