Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I bought it as a $400 plow truck and probably would have been better off dumping the money I dumped into it in a more solid truck but eh, it'll be cool to hand down to the son! It didn't have a bed on it, and the it smoked awful. I got a free donor bed from a buddy and swapped the motor out for a newer 302w that i converted back to a 4 barrel, new intake, valve covers etc. Lifted it. Polished the rims from super oxidized to near brand new. Put a Eaton trutrac in the rear end, and had frame stripped down to a rolling chassis and wire wheeled and POR15'd the whole frame. Still a long ways to go. Unfortunately rust free is really hard to find/expensive in maine. I'm 6'3" for reference

Nice!

I don't mix social media in for the most part. Everyone's so polarized nowadays, I keep R2R as an oasis from all that stuff lol as is i use R2R way more than any social media
Same.

So no guesses on the little hair like things? Do you think aptasia or something harmless?
Could be a barnacle, but I can't see the front of it. There's some snails that are filter feeder, the name eludes me at 0530 though

Thank you for your service Keith! My best friend retired after 20 years as a C130 pilot and now flies for Delta and he doesn’t complain!
Very nice!!

Not good nor bad. They are pretty much harmless, but can sting so if they touch a coral it may hurt the coral, but their stings aren't really that strong. They should go away on their own.

However, I'm not 100% confident that what you are seeing are digitate hydroids.
Same here, almost looks like algae growth of some sort

It was originally the straight six but the previous owner swapped it with a 302w out of a 79 i believe. I swapped it with a newer 302w that would have a roller cam and and wasn't smoking
Nice call on the newer 302, those are strong engines

The older i get, the less I use my social media. It seems like it's starting to have the playground mentality where everyone wants to go out and fight behind the monkey bars ya know? I just want to love my life in peace and grow some corals lol
Couldn't agree more man. I lead a pretty normal, quiet life. I don't use social media for much except mainly family. There's too much drama and BS that I refuse to use it like many people do.

I have the 5.0 in my truck, and I love it. Sounds great with the flowmaster 40 series too lol my neighbors hate me in the mornings
John, i rock the same exhaust. When the Hemi cold starts, it makes me smile! Guess that's the inner child in me, but dang, it sounds good!!

Talking about torchs, Is it normal that my torches are getting more green in the middle?
1000135155.jpg
The ones with the green mouths, yes, totally normal. They will change due to lighting, parameters, etc. That's why I don't buy one simply for the name. I buy because I like it. Your torches are beautiful by the way!!
