I think I did decades ago but I can’t remember what type. It was about half the size of a 5 gallon bucket and set in the cabinet under the tank in the stand.

I haven't, but my brother used an Eheim with a 55 gallon.

saw a suspicious mound of sand in the tank. went in to see what it was and found it's the back of the tube anenome. this thing must be 10" long.

I've read that they can get up to 14" or more...
