Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Buy one Kevin, and try fragging it. I've heard its do-able but they take a LONG time to reheal and get that round shape again.

Once you frag it, send me one 🤣

Kevin already has three ready to frag

I got some from TSA. Theirs crashed early and fast. Reef Plantation and Reef Legend are good, potent, and healthy/alive. TSA stuff was bottled almost a month before they shipped it so it was likely almost sterile when I received it.

I stopped running Phyto a while ago. I'm waiting until I have time to build a stand for my 8 gallon and I'll potentially restart some cultures.

I literally tried restarted my culture with just a single strain and got some from TSA and it immediately all died. lol I thought I maybe did not get all the peroxide or bleach out of the container but I think it was not a proper batch.

So my sump is a 40 gallon and there is an additional, not attached to the 40 gallon, that is meant for rodi water for an ATO. I’ve never had one before, anyone give me info on a good one?

Go with a Tunze. They are fantastic. Or go with a Hydros & set up an AWC :)

Honestly some may laugh but I have used one I got for I think $50 on Amazon for a few years now and it's been great. You might want a fancy one though...

@tbrown and I both get strains from Reef Plantation

Do you know which type is better/or the one you use? I was thinking of going with this one Nannochloropsis over Tetraselmis. Not sure if you know which is better. My old phyto was good but it would darken but never get really dark which I am not sure why.

Different strains are different colors.

Brother Im sorry that happened. I hope the upgrade makes it all worth it for you
thanks excited to be lowering the tank stand height to 30 inches with tank makes it 54. perfect to look right into from the top and maybe only need a one step stool to reach in
