This works well. If you use the correct net size, it will catch adults and most of the young will stay. Then just reseed as needed.
I have a net that is I think the right size as we all know over the years we collect lots of nets...

No trouble at all my friend! If you decide you want the black one like the guys have I could send you mine. I don't need two.
Thank you but I just ordered the hatchery the with more eggs and food . Thank you for offering . If I decide to get a larger one at a later date I will consider the one you hooked me up with . I’ll try this . Plus I can go and get the 2 1/2 gallon tanks for raising them at petco. Thanks again for everything and the videos where helpful .

And you were smart enough to remember the spirulina powder. (Unlike someone else I know)

Since no one has mentioned brine shrimp yet today... Allow me.

What's the take on how long these little guys live in our tank? When I add the smallest amount, my whole tank is clouded with them. Surely the fish can't eat them all at once.

One more consideration, and Im honestly unsure of the answer. I want to grow mine out too, but I wonder....

Is it more beneficial to feed "grown out" or larger brine? I couldn't imagine a tiny belly full of spirulina powder could compete with all the nutrition in there yolk sacs right after they hatch.

Oh John are you the guy that got a A in the NEW MATH ? 🤣
Lol Not always, because I have no attention span, but I always understood it. Then I found chemistry and it was over. That's why I love reefing so much. It allows me to practice these things in a beautiful way.

See? Im not a COMPLETE redneck. :)

Baby brine is probably the most nutritious however a lot of fish won't bother with them. The babies will feed your smaller fish and fry if you have them but the full grown brine will keep a lot of the bigger fish busy.

I don't think they live long enough in our tanks to grow out in the tank but I'm not sure. I think they only live a day or two in a saltwater tank.

My thoughts are that the adults are as nutritious as the food you feed them. As far as how long they live in our tanks from what I have researched its 12 to 48 hours because they require spirulina or algea to live.

Good point here Tom. I was wondering about that, because that's a lot of dead shrimp at once if your not careful
