I know @Calmwaters is running an Orphek natura, I was looking at a starting point of 16 inches above water line on my 40B, My adjustability is based on maximum and minimum, so I think 12 inch min. would be to close. I think I could push it 20 inch maximum. I may need to talk to folks who use this light. Its going over a softy tank, but want to limit light bleed outside of the tank
I run that light too. never took par reading though.

Jimmy, I know you said it but I don't remember, did you say you are using 40mm extrusions?

Just for reference I have two 30mm extrusions using one corner brace each (like the ones in your top photo) that hold up a Meridian 35 and two Edge 35 lights. They used to hold up a 30mm cross-brace, two AI Blades and three AI Prime 16 HDs. There has never been any sag.

I will be mapping the PAR in the tank before changing the light.
let me know what your findings are. My light is 12" off the surface, 30" to bottom. I'd be curious to know. My rainbow BTA's have all chosen to be 10" below the surface and about 6" away from directly under the light. I know flow is in there too but they seem to be in different flow areas but all same distance on that angle.

That is my kind of aquascape. It looks so good it almost doesn't even need corals. Yours however do make it look EVEN better. Great looking build my friend

How big are we talking here? And did you get a look at the face? What color was the worm? Was it a long Bristleworm? Was it more greenish with a rainbow shimmer kinda?

Typically in our reef tanks BIG worms can be a number of types. I think the most common area Bristleworms or Bearded Fireworms. Occasionally we see some pretty big Peanut Worms. Also, the ones that could be troublesome are Eunice worms. Not all Eunice are bad though.
Well.. I could barely tell.

It had some orange on the head it was gray.. it's about two pencils long.

Relatively skinny. But not like angel hair. It almost looks like a peanut worm.. I'll be stealthy tonight to get a good look at it.

Could be a Bristleworm then also.
