I dont see many of these and wondering why. Has anyone ever done a 10' reef tank? I'm seriously thinking about getting one made, however I'm thinking of doing a more shallow reef tank. Something like 10 x 24 x 18 or 20" high. I think this would look great and the water volume is still managable.

I have a space in the basement that would look great as a room divider viewable from both sides.

I'm thinking of an overflow on both ends and a closed loop as well.

of course its been done. Lots of very large tanks out there in the reef/aquarium world. Sounds like it would be a sweet tank. If I were you, I would seriously reconsider the CL system. Not that it doesnt have its benefits, I just have serious issues with drilling holes in an open area in the floor of my tank. I suppose, it could be done extremely safe and effective, but that would worry me forever.
