Biggest problem solved! Here is the reason why my return rate is too slow.
ce8c662ad203bddf7649ea72bf74e177.jpg

After remove those, the pump went nut! I have to slow it down to 20% otherwise it’s Overflow my tank!

Now I have it at 80% and I have great turn over rate. The water is crisp clean!

Here you go brother. I don’t know what’s the difference between sync and antisync.

I have AB+ schedule from Ecotech.

I use ESV salt.

Refugium helps with lower the nutrients. Also a place to culture pods.

Meanwhile, Got my house reinforced again today.[emoji4]

The return pump problem really hit me hard. That’s one close call. NCE (near crash experience[emoji28]). Lost a couple frags, a couple half dead, water quality went down hill.
But since it fixed, everything seem making a come back. Polyps start coming out and water quality improve. Even the snails are happy, they spawn!
Enough words, here are some updates pictures. The pics are mixed of 20k and blue shots. Some acros only look good on blue so please don’t expect me to shot then under “normal light”, as well as some acro look so weird, unrealistic under pure blue so 20k it is.
Try my best to show the pics as my eyes seeing them in person.

Three months since I have this acro, no more doubt it is indeed a black acro. Very unique.
Pic under 20k.

When I first got it:
f08b71cafa434ec60954b43d04009052.jpg

Next to it is the rr firecrackers mini colony I obtain recently by a trade (thanks tqui)
Also under 20k

Give it a little more blue and it glows![emoji15]
5bdff728ac5372e8ec92df5c329ff285.jpg

Also from a recent trade: RMF Psycoberry. Not fully color up yet but I can see potential. Love the rainbow polyps!
ecbd2a25d1f49eb95c9f0b4501999ab3.jpg

MattV Rebel. Also a new acro. Having the old school look. Super fuzzy with tiny little polyps. Look better in 20k, not glowing in blue.

Back from the death: Vivid Confetti. I was so close to remove this frag because I was certain that it’s gone. But today I notice the polyps are out again! Yay!

A little dull in coloration, but I like the color theme. Goldish with purple/pink tips and polyps.

Thanks for the info. but in your opinion what is the key to obtaining these fantastic colors? I see many who use the sps ab program but very few have your results .. what can you recommend to me?
That’s one question that so easy to answer but so hard to get it done.
The key successful is: known your system.
Once you know your system anything go wrong you know right away.

It’s not about the light, the flow, the liquid dosing. It’s the combination of all the elements.

Another one V?

We can’t never stop, can we?![emoji20]

Thanks for the reply. in your tub are you satisfied with these radion g4? do you think that with other illuminations you would get more? Integrate oligo and food to the corals?

Yes I do. Radions still the best imo.

hey v, do you think rr pink floyd is the same as TSA's new release 'chimera'? it looks extremely similar to me, but i leave it to you acro and photography experts...

I don’t have a chance to see the TSA in person. But I have a frag on the way so we will find out in 6 months I guess?![emoji4]
One thing I notice is that acro (Chimera), RRU Pink Floyd, RRA Wolverines, Diabolic Pacman, V’s the French Wolverines, TCK Pikachu look pretty much the same. I don’t say they are same corals, just look very similar.
I used to love yellow acro (my first one was TCK Pikachu) but after collect more and more yellow acros, I feel like they are so boringly similar: yellow with red polyps. And so that I lost the thing for yellow acro.

This is V’s the French Wolverines

Meanwhile the frag tank is getting ready.
Custom make cabinets stand. The doors were took out for easier to set up inside.
Plumbing done today. Simple and everything can be taken apart for maintenance. No manifold since I am not planing on using any reactor or chiller.

One small problem is the stand is only 30” high so I can’t take the skimmer body out. So every time I want to clean the skimmer I have to disassembly it inside the sump before taken it out.

Yes. Custom made from Advance Acrylic.

Do you not worry about scratching acrylic?

My first and only concern when ordered acrylic tank. But for the quality acrylic tank is less than half the price of glass tank. You have to see the 1” all around acrylic tank in person. It does look sick. [emoji15]
On the other hand, this tank will mostly viewed from top down (stand+tank is 45” total height). And it’s a frag tank so I will just take everything out and buff it after a year or two when there’re many scratches.

This beast finally taking off. Got it as a brown, just an encrusted base. I wasn’t even sure it’s an acro.

The return nozzels are garbage on the SCs. They slow down flow dramatically. A lot of SC owners remove them, or put on nozzles with wider openings.

Looks great! Is that frag tank going to be a stand alone system, or will you plumb it into your 100 gallon system?
