110 shallow tank questions

I'm very interested in a 110 gal shallow tank. It is I believe 48x30x18.
I love the look but I want to know if there is anything bad about a shallow tank or anything different I should know about.

I don't consider 18" shallow. Mine is 12" ;)

There was another on I liked that is a 60 gal and it's 48x long and 12" high

I have since moved from Tunze to Vortech in order to allow the screen to fit against the top
