I'm getting a 52" long 110g established tank in a couple weeks.

Lots of established live rock and sand (I think it said 70pounds live rock if I remember correctly.) Filter, heaters, power head, etc. from former aquarium keeping I will add two more power heads, a skimmer and a second heater because - back up! I hope to add a refugium pretty quickly as well. Should be a good project for DH if I can't find a used one cheap enough for my I-have-five-kids budget. Lol!

Anyway y'all help me plan my wish list! :-) I plan to have at least sps corals. Oh I already have a MH/t5 light set up from before as well so should be able to add corals as soon as the tank settles from the move.

Tank currently has:
Yellow tang
Two clowns (they said "regular clown" and look to be occelaris I think not percs but I will take a closer look Friday)
Sand-sifting star (color and exact look unknown I didn't see pics of this)
Many snails apparently breeding readily in the tank which I take as a good sign. I believe ceris snails.

Top of wish list:
Green mandarin - obviously not until the refugium is set up and cope filled but this is my hubbies absolutely favorite and a well-established 110g should support him.
Dwarf angel - flame or coral. I was reading an interesting post about a guy who said he always adds them in pairs now and they rarely pester other fish. He always gets them at the same time and one larger one smaller.
Either way a coral or flame is a must on my wish list and I don't think they will compete with the mandarin for Copepods.

Possibles: help me narrow-down/evaluate the other possibilities based on the above for a nice mix of levels and colors without crowding out my (future as-of-yet-non-existent) mandarin and corals.
Fairy or Flasher Wrasse
Pseudochromis - my favorites are the purple (not orchid - the magenta ones) which I've had in the past in my college nano reef but I'm not finding any captive bred. Would consider switching for orchid, neon, or other captive bred species.
Neon goby 2-3 - love these guys! Captive bred excellent pricing and so beautiful.
Blenny - What do you guys think of the pink spot blennies? Or tail spot blennies? they seriously have the cutest faces don't they?
Fire fish or purple fire fish - possible the pseudo may pick on him too much but maybe not in a larger tank. Wouldn't have tried it in my nano or 55 before but is it possible here?

Thoughts? Seeing my highly-desireds and size constraints (although 110g feels AMAZING compared to my two 10s or even 55 before!) what do we think of the possibles?

Bad cell phone pics of tank I'm getting the 21st. I can't wait to rescape those rocks badly but there are some decent pieces to work with I think. Needs a cleaning I know but I got a good price so I can apply elbow grease no problem. :-)

@eatbreakfast if I'm not mistaken any Angel is a risk to coral.

Can be yes. Dwarf angels seem to be less likely than the larger ones so it should be rather hit or miss whether individuals nibble or not. I have a lead on one from a friend so would be able to determine individual proclivities on at least one prior to purchase.

Of the dottybacks you mentioned I definitely prefer the orchid; and I think it less likely to have aggression issues.

Talking to a localish (local is relative in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. :-)) guy who can get me a pink-spot blenny and a royal gramma. I'm thinking if I do that with the royal gramma it would preclude the orchid dottyback as they would be too similar right?

Dwarf angels can be hit and miss regarding the nipping of corals, though are generally pretty safe with healthy sps.

Ditch the sand sifting star. They deplete the sandbed of beneficial microfauna.

Let the tank stabilize for a couple months, so that the pod population can recover after the transfer.

The magenta/purple pseudo will be territorial, but can still work if added last. It and a royal gramma can coexist in a 110, but the gramma should be in first.

I plan to determine the species of star fish before trading/selling it off as I've seen a couple different ones sold as and sisters but yes. I knew they aren't ideal in a mixed reef tank typically. Especially since I want great pod populations.

Thanks for the advice on the gramma + dottyback. The magenta is my absolutely favorite only because I had such a cool one in ,y tank in college but I know they can be kind of jerks with other fish. He was solo in mine except peppermint shrimps. Lol!

I will probably take the recommendations here to go with one of the other dottybacks that are a little nicer in mixed company. ;-)

What do you think about the gobies? I love their faces and personality so much. Thoughts and experiences there?

There are a lot of great gobies and most would make a great addition.
