I purchased 8 Trochus snails, 7 Nassarius snails (Lfs charged me for 8!) And 10 hermit crabs. 2 Cerrith snails. I floated them and added tank water over 40 min to acclimate. Lfs water was 1.024, mine was 1.026. They are already cleaning great! Also purchased the Tunze strong cleaner! I love it!

How is it better than the Flipper?

I was looking at the flipper but didnt want to deal with that blade. I was a little reluctant to get the tumze because I'm used to using some type of pad and it doesn't have one. Many people here love the tunze so I went for it. Sand cant get stuck in the Tunze. Plastic blades clean so easily. I couldn't believe it.

Brown diatoms was growing on all the rocks and sand and it got longer. Purchased a cuc and they got to work fast and cleaned up well. Diatoms stayed brown for about a week. And now it is all green. They still have lots of work to do! A tang would love all this.

I didnt QT my first 3 fish, but from now on I will QT. They are all doing great, just figured I shouldn't risk it. Here is my new foxface in QT (using my old biocube 29). He is tiny but eats A LOT.

He swims around until I start getting close, and goes to the corner, haha

Nitrates were hovering around 20ppm for a few weeks. I did a few 20% water changes, which weren't doing too much. A 30% water change helped a bit more. But even that wasn't enough. But this morning nitrates were between 5-10ppm! I can attribute this to a few changes I made. 1. Changing filter socks every 3-4 days. The socks were gross! I pressure washed them in the back yard, and it was like washing brown mud off if it.
2. CUC. They must have helped right?!
3. Chaeto growth is taking off

It's been a month since my last post. I kept the foxface in QT for 16 days and then transferred it over. The next day it was dead. Some said it looked really skinny and probably had an internal parasite. I should've treated it in QT but it was always eating well and there were no bad signs. I just thought it was small. So then I got 2 bangai cardinals and they NEVER ate in QT. They were both dead in 2 weeks.

I decided to purchase. PBT last Friday. It had been at the wholesaler for 2 weeks and a little more than 2 weeks at the lfs. I chose not to QT it. It's been 8 days and it is doing amazing. Color is better than what it was at the LFS. I'm 4-0 without QT, and 0-3 in QT.

I still have some GHA. I am pulling it out but haven't for a week because I don't want to stress out the new fish
