Been working on the plumbing. It got a little tricky in some spots, but it's looking like it will be all good.

Out of chaos....

....comes order

Manifold (with ability to feed two BRS reactors, refugium, and water change):

Gonna give this check valve a try. It's not glued in, so if it restricts flow, gets clogged, etc., I can just yank it:

very nice build. that tank and stand look killer.

that stand is killer!! lookn good!

Looks great!

Thanks amigos! (Mandrake, is that your birdsnest colony in your avatar? If so, that's sweet!)

Unfortunately, we're still getting some flex in the aluminum swingarm, even after trying to stiffen it up with a steel insert...it's just not going to cut the mustard. It's looking like we're going to scrap it and instead go with steel for the whole thing. Will probably just hang the fixture from the ceiling in the meantime so I can get this thing going.

Here's the steel swingarm in place with a few pics of its rotational ability:

that light hanger is cool, but it flexed because you put the narrow side as the supporting side. if you would of rotated it leaving the wide side it wouldnt of done that as bad

That looks great! How many bulbs is that fixture? When is the official fill date?

Thanks Skinz...it's the PM 8 x 54W. As far as the official fill date...well, that's the big unknown...I have some potentially major changes on the very near horizon and will have to see what direction things go before I commit to filling it. It WILL get filled though!

Wow that is a nice looking light hanger.

Thanks, props to my brother in law for his commitment and help!

That swing arm is very nice! Very clean and practical design... love the sump setup as well!!

Thank you sir.

Yeah, but that's not the low pro look we were going for...would have looked lame that way.

hey love the hole set up !!! nice and clean!!!good job !!!!

Thanks bro!

Thanks for the bumps guys. I've got offers out on a couple of houses, so a move might be imminent...hence the delay. I want nothing more than to fill this bad boy, but there are some great deals on homes out there right now that are too good to let pass by. If we can't make one stick, then we'll stay in our current house and things will get salty....stay tuned.
