Here's a suggestion..... Continue to get money saved up and s l o w l y get the equipment purchased.

It's not a race and it's not emparitive to have a sw tank running tomorrow.

You're right, the best place to start is get a great book or 2 on sw.
Google everything you have questions about, make a list of things you want or need.
Slowly get the equipment and tank and stuff together.

There's no reason to rush any of this.

Well now we see where the issue is! Knowledge is priceless, and in reality $50 for a physical copy of the most referenced book in the hobby is cheap.

A really good book is "Marine Biology, An Ecological Approach", by Nybakken and Bertness. $8 on Amazon.
