Last time I mentioned to someone that "if you're following in someone's footsteps, you'll never make your own mark"
That is so true in this hobby by defining your own system.

@BigJohnny , @bubbaque

Call me crazy or call me nuts but don't tell me I give silly advice.
Yes, it may need some "balls" to change things ....... just follow the photostory and compare the coral before and 5 minutes after cooking some Reef Mayonnaise TM !!!

And don't even ask if the skimmer did overflow, that you should be able to figure out by yourself.
Pictures are straight from the iPhone so no super quality but fits the purpose.

The above is for experimental purpose only!
Do not do this on your own Reef Tank.
Following this, is on own risk and responsibility ;Stop

Not sure why you tagged me, I never said that you gave silly advice. I dont know if "balls" is the word though............also, that's not Mayonnaise, that's just selcon and an egg lol. Btw, I get the same response from just selcon.......

An egg is also way less far out then browning sauce and soy sauce, imo.

I have no doubt that you actually do this. I do find it silly to put mayo in a reef tank. It may be the egg or the selcon that improves your polyp extension. Either way you don't need mayo to have good polyp extension. I have polyp extension like the last pic all the time and I don't put mayo in the tank.

Ppl call me crazy but I remember in science class that everything which is natural will be consumed in some sort.
I even dosed for a while straight skim-mate with reefchile but the smell after a few days bottled made my dogs of guard and they preferred to stay in the backyard.

The stuff in the Selcon bottle is as you can no Selcon, its the Browning sauce from the Diesel brew.

I guess that's the beauty of everyone being able to experiment and dose whatever they like. Not everyone has to agree with what goes in ones own tank.

I remember that I was 6 years old when I got my first Mayonaise portion on a bag of French Fries.
I had no clue what to expect for my 0.25 but it was a whole different world.
I also remembered when ppl were asking for ketchup they almost got banned from the store that time.
Those days you ate mayo on the fries and no ketchup.
Holland was so particular, same as we had the first skimmers in the sumps, they had to be centered exactly in the middle of the sump as the air stone drew the most out of it for a upwards skimm reaction.
