20l flow? Tunze or Vortech?

I have a chance to buy two tunze 6025's for $100 or a Vortech MP20 for $200. I plan to keep only zoas/palys in this tank. It is drilled and has two returns in the top corners of the tank with a SQWD connected t a Mag 5. Also Im using 3/4'' Penducters on the returns. This gives a really nice flow in the top half of the tank, but the lower lacks alittle. I also have a 5-6'' clam in this tank. What do you think?

i've got the 2 tunze setup on my 29 and it's perfect (pumps are on a wave timer where only one is on at a time for about 45 sec to 1 min)...almost a little too little flow, but 2 on at the same time is too much flow...AKA in my opinion the 2 tuzne's would be perfect with a wave timer! I just bought a vortech mp20 and i think that'd be good too, but if you plan on having sand it might not be the best idea as it'll be a lot of flow in 1 direction.

i'd go with the tunze's!

the vortech pulls and pushes. it's a great wavemaker by itself. much more compact too than a couple of tunze, but it's an opinion thing.

I have 2 tunze 6025's on my 29gal too and it's just perfect.

I've had both in my tank and the Vortech is by far the much better piece of equipment, I had 2 of the 6025's on seperate occasions break on me, I then went with the Vortech after reading about it and haven't looked back since and that was well over 2 years ago and I have no issues whatsoever

I would say the vortech's push and push harder. They do not go in reverse. I bought 5 vortech's in the last group buy for a big tank I am putting together and tried one in my 20 gallon tall.

With just one in my 20 gallon with no other pumps it just created a whirlpool that varied in speed. You need a second pump that pushes back against just one vortech. I ended up putting 2 in the tank because i had another spare.

I absolutely love having 2 vortechs and here is why:
My sps have started growing allot better
Cyno disappeared.
As the pumps get clogged up, u just turn them up. (i used to clean ph's every week and haven't cleaned these in almost 2 months)
The feed button works great.
They are smaller in size and block less light.(used to have a koralia 2 and 3)

Vortechs are great pumps, but I think you need something to push against them.

I say the Vortech, I have one in my 90, and it moves EVERYTHING everywhere. Now that my caps and sticks are so much larger, I may have to add another, OR frag everything by 50%! :eek:
