Few updates frp, the last few weeks.

Found another little acro crab hiding in my Red Table
2025-05-30 18.54.33-1.jpg

Thought I had red bugs (insert mild panic attack...) - Turns out they were just baby amphipods that seem to have exploded in population.
2025-06-02 18.38.13.jpg 2025-06-02 19.30.09.jpg

Added a bit of a sad looking Golden Cherry Blossom Acro frag (got a killer deal on it)
2025-06-03 17.04.41.jpg

Decided in a moment of madness to frag my scoly in half to see if i could grow 2 (hahaha)

Pic just after cutting - having a dip in some CIE
2025-06-03 19.27.20.jpg
This is how it looks now - doing really well, both heads are eating
2025-06-08 15.43.25.jpg

Stomatella snail breeding was a success, have hundreds of them in my frag tank now, so have been selling them to local reefers! (Pic at night with lights off)
2025-06-04 22.36.17.jpg

Installed a phosphate reactor finally, just needed a way to stop this from spiking over time, has been running about 24hrs now so will test how effective its been tonight.
2025-06-09 12.42.19.jpg

Finally added in 2 more Acro Colony's
Cookie Monster -
2025-06-09 14.44.31.jpg

This one is yet to be determinded (name/variety)
2025-06-09 14.43.55-1.jpg

Have about 4 more rarer frags on the way also from the East Coast over the next few weeks :-)

2025-06-22 09.57.25.jpg

Finally got my custom brackets to mount the AI Blade's around the tank, so fitted these onto the HMS rail while at home from work sick!

Big coral day today!
Brought home over 20 new corals from one of our local growers here - even set up a egg crate in a bucket to make this easier!

Looks amazing mate, well done. Super envious haha.
I'll send you some frags when your ready! Just hit me up :-)

Got a few more in today, but not SPS this time - adding in some Goni to the lower parts of the tank.

Quick vid of the tank last night as the lights dialed down.

Added in some Goni yesterday from interstate, will put up some pics once they open up, was a little dissapointed in the amount of pests that came in on them - Aiptasia, vermetids etc.

Stomatella Snails... breeding these was clearly a success, my frag tank is covered from top to bottom each night!
I sell these occasionally to local reefers, but will probably move a heap of these into the main display and sump over the next few days.

Scoly I fragged in half has been healing well!
(Picked up another fragging candidate from a cheap EOFY sale)

Not coral update for once - was given some 3d printed dividers and organisors for my Hanna Checkers.
They fit in perfect into the drawer i put in the cabinet under my tank, so much better organised.

2025-06-13 21.05.50.jpg

Also - found a while back i can purchase lots 30 tubes of superglue straight from china for around $30 AUD - works out so much cheaper getting it this way than from LFS's.
I found the brand because one of our LFS was selling this type (which they import the same way, but charge 4 times the amount for!) - i buy it off Ali Express

Well it took close to 2 weeks to get this guys comfortable to eat in and around a fish trap, and finally caught him last night out of the blue, noticed him sticking his head into the nyos trap, so pulled the magnet and he was done.

Measures over 5 Inches long so only just fit into the trap in the first place.
I'm actually a little sad to see him go, as he was one of my first saltwater fish, I could deal with him eating LPS, but when he started munching on my Acro I knew he needed to go on a holiday. (Currently residing in my sump before he heads to the LFS)

On a positive note, it means there may be a new Tang coming if I can find the right one.

Gorgeous fish.
I've somehow not been getting your updates! Hopefully notifications work again.

Definitely a shame to have to pull fish because they become coral munchers.
I've briefly been considering the same.
I'm quite sure my foxface and purple tang are doing the same. Haven't seen the other tangs do it yet though so there may be more culprits but I would feel bad doing it since we literally upgraded the tank so I could keep them (by them I namely mean the foxface and my blue tang as I had those before the upgrade). Would be a shame to let them go now after all this time. Coming upto 4 years that I've had them in a few months!
Really hate that the foxface and purple eat my corals though. (I've stopped buying them as a result).
