Hello
After several years spent in Madagascar, I just arrived in Cambodia with a new project in mind
I'm now up to receive my new tank and start the setup
here it's quite easier than it was in Madagascar for supply but still not as it is in Thailand or Vietnam for the neighbouring countries
The live rocks for example, one of the two store i visited want to import them from US

Well I will see step by step how I can deal with it, but let share some pictures and thought about the setup (actually some comments on the stand would be very much welcome)

Here is the tank which is already done

Then the sump which is also finished

It will be equiped for the start with one Tunze 9430DC, one Maxspect gyre 350 and one Zetlight Qmaven 6800 (its just for the start, I will see later if improvement needed on light and waterflow)

And here comes the question on the "last" part before starting the setup
I'm looking forward doing my stand (actually trying to copy CADE Altumate design), but I wonder if the stand will be strong enough to carry the 2200 LBS of the Tank + water + live rocks

the stand is made of 30mm square shaped steal tubes with 1.2mm thickness
My previous stand in Madagascar was 40mm tubes with 6 pillars (working very well for almost the same volume), now it's 8 pillars but 30mm
==> advices welcome :smiling-face-with-halo:

Livestock looks great and cheap (5-10$) unless you want to buy from Australia (bit expensive)
I'm little concerned thought on live rocks but need to go deeper on that point.
Thanks for the advice on the stand.
Here some pictures of what is available in the local store

For hardware they can import from us or Vietnam. I imported the zetlight from VN at a good price 500$ (cheaper than France - my country, but more expensive than from the source in China)
For skimmer and pump i bring it with me from France with some deduced tax
For the tank they have ultra white glass so its a very good start

You will love the 9430dc its a beast. The most underrated skimmers out thier.
Its as set and forget as thier is in this hobby. I run a 9430dc on my 120 total gallon system.
The barrel of my 9410dc has never been cleaned and it has not impacted performance one bit despite the corraline on my 45.

Yes it was my first choice for that project even from deciding on the size of the tank

Nice start! As far a live rock - I would personally go with dry rock. there are a ton of products out there to turbostart your reef tank bacteria - question is wheather you have access to those -- by using the dry rock you eliminate some potential pests in the future

Well, I'm an aquatic ecology scientist so pests are also part of the fun to me ;-)
