I am thinking about getting a Mr. Aqua, Aquamax, or Lifegard 22G long tank(or maybe the 12G) and not adding a sump. Any thoughts on how that tank would work using a Tunze Comline Multifilter 3163 Internal Power Filter in the corner?

In nano tanks, anything that goes inside the tank will drastically reduce usable space, and personally, I think detracts from the overall look.
I've never used the filter you're looking at, but at 4.5" wide, that's almost half the width of the Lifegard 22G tank. I wouldn't want a filter sitting in the corner that's half as wide as the tank.

I was looking into this tank as well, and without a sump the most most popular option is using this as a peninsula tank with an AIO insert on one end. I didn't want this either, so I am going to be making my own tank with the same dimensions with an added back overflow so I don't have to use it as peninsula. The images are on my thread if you want to check it out for ideas.

Yes been thinking about that as well and was thinking about camouflaging it with a vertical rockwall across the corner. I am deciding where to put the tank(either Mr Aqua, Aquamax, or Lifegard 22 long or 12 long, or maybe the Lifegard 16 long) and one option is on a bookshelf with no room for a sump. Also, thought about the XAqua INOUT or just drilling the bottom of the tank with some rock camouflaged standpipe to use with a sump.
