So we have 2 furnaces, gas for upstairs and a geothermal for main floor and basement. Woke up this morning and neither one is working. Temp is 62 main floor and 59 upstairs

We dropped from 74 yesterday afternoon to 36 last night. Hated it. Back to 56 now at least.

Strange that two different systems would both be off. Check your electric panel for a tripped breaker.

Have you checked / changed filters? Ours has a shut off mode when the filter is to dirty to allow adequate air flow.

House update: the seller is giving us a $6000 credit at closing for a new furnace! Yay!! We don’t have the signed paperwork yet but it is verbally officially. We close on Monday.

So last night around 7pm we get a text from our daughter saying the water heater broke and water is running all over their bedroom carpet. She called maintenance guy and he shut it off.

Not sure what happened between 7pm and 3:30 am but at 3:30am get another text from her saying this:

How dumb is this guy to just turn it back on?!!
Before going back to bed we made sure the water heater was also shut of at the breaker box too.

February 3 is her last day at work, then she can move back here. That day can’t come soon enough.
