I figured out how to post this correctly so I’m sorry if there is a double post admins feel free to delete my other one if its not allowed. Anywho here it is my first build thread for my first saltwater aquarium. Woo hoo! Let’s go.
so first up I got my tank obviously. Then I bought my first stand from target and as it was being assembled the wood bubbled on it and the other pieces of the stand did not fit together properly so that one was returned. Then I searched on amazon and found this cute stand on there by Herture. That stand was assembled very well with a helper I got. It had no flaws wgat so ever. So here is the photos of the stand build and the finale result with tank on stand.

Okay so the tank was aquired in July and the tank stand in august. Now its october and I got a siphon, two 5 gallon buckets and 12 lbs of carib sea liferock dry. So here is the aquascape I played with today. Yes I am presenting this build with every detail to get many comments, advice , opnions and suggestions as possiable.
I love how it looks so far but not much room in the back as the rocks are large. But I love the middel rock cause it has a face. I call it the pavorotti rock cause it looks like it is singing opera to me. 😂
Any suggestions on the aquascape so far? Also on which smaller rocks I should get? How much more rock do I need if any? Should I use both larger foundation rocks that are holding the middel rock up or swap one of them out? I was going to try to build two islands with a possiable arch but it lokks like that may be changing now.

That's looking good, I like the stand!

It’s coming along great. I would definitely add two to three more same size pieces, as it will act as your primary biological filtration, preferably real live tock from someone like TBS.

I planned on adding a piece of live rock too to help seed it better and gain the benefits. I am nervous about possiable pests but deal with that issue if and when it happens. One slow step at a time.

I think you need a couple of fat friends to sit on that stand to test the load limit before you add water. Was it sold as an aquarium stand? Did it give you a weight limit? You are looking at 275 lbs of water, plus tank, rock and sand. I second the real ocean live rock from TBS.

I got that all covered. Stand is supposed to hold 850lbs. I did a leak test for the tank too. It is sold as an aquarium stand yes.

Following along! Can't wait to see how your tank progresses!
