40gal breeder

hello reefer fellows, i've been in the hobby for a bit switching from big tanks, and small tanks and now i am sticking with a 40 gallon breeder. I am currently a junior in high school and i enjoy this hobby just as much as everyone else on the site. my tank is cycle but im stuck on filtration. I am planning to drill my tank and install an over flow. I was thinking about using 90 degree elbow and then drill another hole for a return pump. Any ideas or what i should do? Thanks!!! i will post pictures and equipment list :]​

Lighting current-usa-6x39w-nova-extreme-pro (It could grow corals okay but i want to upgrade to an ATI fixture for better results )
