In the picture you posted of the frag tank, it looks like a bunch of zeovit bottles on the shelf. Are you using any of their supplements?

Huhm, after googled these 2 types of acros. I still think it's a granulosa.
But I'm glad that we came up with common names for corals! [emoji39]

Here is what on my shelf:
e6279bbf730b0b6d9e8dd087a979ac44.jpg

From the beginning, when I struggled with growth and coloring acros, I used a bunches of additives. These are just what left over.
Zeos: too expensive, and I have no idea if they work or not. But if I stop using them and I lost the color, as well as the growth, I will definitely use them again!
Red sea color program, iodine, and Fe, those are cheap so I keep them handy, dose (blind dosed) a mil every now and then.

Nothing special. Just 2 cubes of brine shrimp and some reefroid.
Since I lost 2 fishes recently, 2 cubes is a little too much for my fishes.

Would you go with sand i f you had the chance to start all over again?

Yes, and No.
If all I care is maximize flow for sps, then I will go bare bottom again.
But if i want some wrasses, sand critters, blenny....then I sure go with sand.
Since this tank is bare-bottom, I will try sand (2inches) on my next build.

Do you rinse the brine shrimp in clean water or just dump the solid cubes into the tank?

Some more shots today:
Jkr Joe Rainbow: I like the "vintage" beauty of this acro. Not fancy as the other tenuis, but also not required heavy royal blue to pop the colors. (Don't mind the monti behind, it just making effort showing its blue polyps to photobomb the acro!)

Blue mili: pick up some grow recently. This acro Only 4inches under the water. Receives at least 600 par but still keep very deep blue color.

No rinse, I defrost it with tank water and use long turkey baster to feed.
I second this, very very nice.

Can you update me on your params that you aim for? How often do you do water changes and what do you dose, if anything?
Thanks.
I aim for 8 to 9dkh , 450 cal and >1400ppm mag.
Right now the daily dose are Alk and Ca. The other elements such as Iodine, Fe, Redsea and Zeo additives are dose occasionally.
Water change is 5 gallons a week.

I have a canopy that make the mounting so easy. All I did is zip ties the nuts into the canopy rails.

I said that badly. Sorry but my english is not very good.
I wanted to ask you:
What do neon mounts?
What program did you set on the radion?
How do you get these fantastic colors? Many say that with the LEDs you can not get that.

Don't worry, English is not my mother language also. [emoji30]
I think you mean how I mount the t5?
Well, they are retrofit kits I bought from Bulkreefsupply. They fit just fine inside the canopy. I screwed the end caps into the canopy sides.

I am a firm believer of LEDs. I have 2 Radions on this tank. 1 radion on the frag tank and 1 AI PrimE HD on another frag tank. All corals doing great.
I gonna use 3 Radions on my new build also. Yes, a teaser.....I'm working on another build![emoji39][emoji39][emoji39]
Stay tune, I'm gonna put up a build thread very soon. [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

P/s: please take time review the previous posts. I've tried my best to answer every questions, but I don't want to answer the same questions too many time. It makes the thread diluted.
