Salt and net top are ready to go, except someone forgot to put screen net clips in the cart so ... I have to wait on those.

Might be moving soon, so I don't think I'll cycle till we are sure. May be putting this project on hold.

Oh no way!!! After all of this, to have to box it up and move. That stinks.
We'll be here when you are ready....

I have the same eshopps sump.

The trickle in the sump is a PAIN to get rid of. I tried running the water level in the sump higher and that worked a little bit.

I may order some 3d printed silencers from fishofhex

Yeah idk if what I'm finding for sump silencers is going to solve the problem it seems to be the trickle hitting the water level below. It almost needs a pad on top of the water level underneath the sock

I can't tell if it's water dripping down inside the sock, or if it's getting around the sock and dripping on the outside.

I ordered the custom sock silencers last night. I'll let you know how they work when I get them

Well we offered 30k over on a house and lost to a higher all cash offer so we are staying put I guess.. market is psychopathic at the moment in columbus ohio
That's insane!!

The market going up like this can't be sustained, and it's going to come down at some point.

But good news that the build is going to continue!

Alright, I may have skipped some steps for newbies. But It took 4 days with my 50gpd rodi system to fill it up, salt added. I let the pumps run for a few days with nothing in it. 3 days ago I used filter media from the previous build and put that in the sump compartment as well as added some extra rock from the previous tank. I think that should "insta cycle" the tank. Planning to put my whopping 2 clowns and rock and what corals I have in the tank tonight /tomorrow/this weekend

Well I guess stuff from a 90 gallon would look small in a 180

Looking for suggestions on rock to order.

Livestock plans are wrasse, tang, cleaner shrimp right now and many more corals.

I need to get a lens for better photos the can is muh prettier without all the blue

I was able to quiet it almost to nothing, I did this by putting a square cut out of filter overtop of the socks , its almost dead silent now

I see you are building a 6 ft'r like me! :D hows that going?
It's in the garage... finally. Trying to figure out how to move all 375 pounds of acrylic from the garage into the house. Bulkheads arrived today, leveling mat and spears valve will be here Monday. I'm mentally mapping out my plumbing. I should have some updates to the build thread later this weekend.

Awesome :) me and my buddy lifted mine up onto the stand. Was not an easy task to get it centered on the polycarbon sheet (leveling mat)

Trying to figure out how to dial in the skimmer, its either running wet, or not really getting foam produced. My last skimmer was pre owned, and "broken in" perhaps it just takes time. Or the bio load is so small with only 2 clowns in 200g
