75 gallon mixed reef stock list

Some of y’all may have seen my previous post, i have decided a 75 gallon would be the best choice for me. So. Here is my potential stock list:

Tomini tang
A dwarf or swallowtail angel(could a goldflake or cream angel work?)

a group or harem fish:
Pygmy angel trio
Or
Damselfish trio(chrysiptera or Allen’s neon or corazon)
Or
Basslet/assessor/gramma/dottyback/fang blenny trio
Or
A big school of pacific blue eyes(a euryhaline fish)
Or
Jawfish trio
Or
Flasher wrasse male group (diff species)

A nice “challenging” fish:
Dragon face pipefish pair
Or
Dragonets
Or
Mysis eating orange spot filefish

A pest control buddy:
Halieochores wrasse
Or
Orange spot sleeper goby

Looks like a good list! I had a flameback angel in my 75, he’s a cool fish, always in motion. I’d recommend looking into a lyretail anthias trio or quartet, they are very pretty schooling fish that are pretty hearty.

I’d hold off on the challenging fish until the tank is established and you have a stable pod populaton.

The engineer goby will rearrange your sand and rockwork. Bumblebee snails can eat other snails.

If you are going to keep hard SPS, you should be careful how much you stock.

My sps are going to be mainly the classic acros so stuff like red planet, immortal tort, pink millie, Bali greens, rainbow montis

I’m getting the bumble bee snails to eat ventralid snails.

lyre tail anthias sound good!

do you think I could do a mix of predators? Like dwarf lions, comets, eels

Hi Leo, you've got a well rounded list there, I like it. IMO don't be so concerned on the species of snails get 2 different ones and roll...I love the Sea Cucumber, that is a must imo..
Hard no on the Swallowtail Angel. This fish needs a very large amount of room to swim...75 g doesn't provide it unfortunately. I like the Tomini, for this tank as a showpiece.
I particularly like your idea of a pygmy angel either duo or if really rolling the dice trio. I have a Coral Beauty and an Eibli in my 90, the CB was in tank 4 years, adding the Eibli was stressful but in the end / currently all is well. If you can add the 2 or 3 pygmies together I would do that. Definitely if 3 then all together. The two established otherwise would in all likelihood wipe out your 3rd addition. Look forward to seeing your end result,.....well it never actually 'ends' but you know

for " schooling" fish (they will not school in a 75 gal, too small space for schooling) I would suggest some 5 springeri damselfish or a pair of springeri dottybacks, they are very lively fish, I recently bought c.b. pair of them; orange spot sleeper gobies never last long in home tanks, instead I would chose amblygobius byonensis, they are much more robust.
As for an eel, I would suggest to wait a bit before you have an established peacful happy tank

Maybe I should have said shoaling? Bcs I like the pacific blue eyes which are euryhaline. And yes my tank will be stocked as the usual peaceful to aggressive

What will you be using for filtration, lights ?

sump system, refugium, frag tank(if I have space, skimmer, dosing pumps for calcium, magnesium, phyto and trace elements. And kH keeper from reef factory. Lights will be either reef flare or smth else.

The scape style is a bunch of floating pieces of rocks and platforms so there will be little to no rock on the ground, allowing me to have about 4inches of sand and maybe abit of mud. Each platform will be dedicated to a group or type of coral. The tank’s fishes will be also used for breeding. The platforms will allow each fish to have an area as a territory
