My maroons were actually best buddies with my eels when I had them. Ill be going back to maroons 100%
My maroon is mostly fine. Just nips my foxface occasionally

Edit: and wrecks my sandbed

So does this seem okay for stock then?
Snowflake Eel
Pair of maroon stripe clowns
Dwarf Zebra lion
Blue spot puffer
Orange banded Stingfish or leaf fish (these get around 4-5 inches)

Yeah, just keep an eye on your snowflake and make sure she isnt getting stung by those two. That would be my biggest concern!

A ghost ribbon eel is also a very interesting and thin eel if you wanted more options for eels besides a snowflake! Dont get me wrong I love my snowflake (her name is Ghost) but just thought I would throw that out there! They are a lot thinner and not the same kind of eel as the traditional ribbon and are fairly easy to keep in my experience. I only lost mine because I couldnt get it out of the aquarium when the sea cucumber crashed my tank! He was so small and I didnt get him out in time :( but here is some pictures of Ghost because I love showing her off :)

I probably will stick with the snowflake :)

For ghost shrimp feeders. Can freshwater shrimp ones go in a salt holding tank? Do I need to do like gradual raise of Salinity

You put the ghost feeders in saltwater they live for a little then die if they are not eaten. Ghost has no interest in feeder shrimp, none of my eels actually did! The only one who liked them was a snapper I had

What does yours like? Salmon slices or frozen shrimp?

I feed LRS carnivore frenzi, silversides (for my fang tooth eels) shrimp, sometimes squid but they dont care much for it, and clams usually. All 4 of my eels love the carnivore frenzi from LRS, its got a lot of mixed meaty foods for them. And interesting enough mine never took to salmon slices.

Mine are very picky now. Won't eat silversides. They love salmon and shrimp and will tolerate squid.

What's the usual sized tank you recommend for a snake eel? That's some great info since i never thought that snake eels would eat fish

I mean I was told like a 70 but now I feel different. They like to swim, actually swim not crawl around like a Moray, and honestly I would love to give mine a giant tank.

That's really interesting, i expected them to have similarities or even be same to a pebbletooth, but it seems that snake eels are in a different genus for a reason, do they stay cooped up like a moray or come out more often?

Not even the same family or even suborder. Though in many ways they are similar. Its a more polar eel. While my Moray likes to spend all of its time poking its head out. 80% time my snake is completely hidden. However the other 20% its swimming around from end to end.

Is it called Carnivore frenzi or is it the chunky?

Hum I was thinking about adding one more moray to my 300 but I might consider a snake! I love when my morays swim around. My eels do like to open swim sometimes but Ghost is the one who really loves it
