75 gallon reef tank

I think I now have the last Stylo I wanted. This'll be my first torch in the tank. I was just noticing how lonely my hammer is so a Splatter hammer should make him happier? Another Alveopora and two more Rhodactis. I didn't need the monti but it was cool colors and it was only $10.

Ok, so I'm out of town for a couple of days for an archery tournament for my kids. I set up a 5 gallon ATO for it and my mother-in-law is going to check on it every day. I have a couple of extra buckets ready so she just has to top off the ATO every two or three days. This is going to be a big test...

We get along quite well. She actually likes me. One of the few in-laws she likes.

So I just spoke with my mother-in-law and it sounds like the first five days have been a breeze. All four dogs, the cat, the hedgehog (rat thing as she calls her), and the fish tanks are doing good. She had to add a couple of gallons to the ATO but it was still good on water and I have a couple more gallons set aside for later this week if needed.

In other news, I was having a conversation with @charles7 about crested geckos the other day and while in Salt Lake we found this at a thrift shop....

My wife told me to get it. Crested might be in my future?

My wife told me to get it. Crested might be in my future?

Wooo! If that’s a heat lamp you won’t need it though! Just basic light willl be fine! Or even no light just sunlight! Real plants or plastic plants! Message me if ya got questions on care! I had almost 70 of them last season before the big sale.

We'll see! They're definitely beautiful critters. She let me get the tank but convincing her to let me get the crested is the fun part.

Tank first crawly lizard things later. Sorry I am a bit biased against them. They are pretty neat though.

Depends on the crested geckos. Before I sold my entire stock of cheaper end geckos and kept my high end stuff, I had maybe 3-4 out of 60-70 total that didn’t like being handled. It depends on how you rear them most of the time. If you handle them during feedings as babies then u get calm geckos. Typically it’s done half the time so if you buy from bigger breeders they are super energetic but still tangible.

We're having us a real vacation!

I'm really enjoying the time out here, but I've got the coral delivery coming in a week and I'm really looking forward to the lawnmower blenny. The coral is a bunch of green, but it's also got my first torch. This is my third saltwater tank and I've never had a torch before!!! Technically, the torch is for tank number 4, but it's going to be spending a couple of months in this tank while the new tank is cycling.

I was driving my wife's friends car and the forest ranger stopped me. 5 brown bears walked across the street right in front of the car. One of them almost rubbed against the front bumper.
