Thank you so much! I am so happy to get it started!Congratulations on the build can’t wait to see the progress!
I am super stoked about the sump I can’t lie hahaYou'll love the sump! I'm running the same one on my 75 gallon as well.
Yeah this is an old picture but it took me a while to figure that out haha. It’s all fixed up properly!excellent skimmer.
P.S. you have it assembled incorrectly. the pump wire should a cut out in the bottom base plate that it goes in and where you have the cord the venturi should go.
I’m hoping it treats me well!Awesome build! I recently just upgraded to a 75g with the same exact stand you got lol.
Thank you so much, I am happy to be here!Welcome to R2R, enjoy the build.
What size brute cans?
55 gallons are what I went withWhat size brute cans?
Interesting, I haven’t heard of that but I’ll definitely look more into it, I appreciate the insight!I’d be careful with those brute cans. I’ve been out of it for about 2 years (looking to get back in) so things might have changed but eventually those cans will start leaching phosphate which obviously isn’t great for the SPS
No problem. I worked at a store for years and when people with high phosphates came in the common denominator was that they were storing their water (especially RO) is 5 gallon buckets and/or brute garbage cans. If the can is made out of a good grade plastic you should be okay (I.e. a 150 gallon drum). There should be a symbol somewhere on the can that you can google.Interesting, I haven’t heard of that but I’ll definitely look more into it, I appreciate the insight!
