You see the change very easy but it does not seem abrupt. I will watch them when they start ramping down for the day.
It’s not abrupt. It is pretty gradual, even with my 25% light jumps

My dad is going to help me run the line but he got real sick from this virus that is taking control of my family. I am OCD so 2 flashlights for redundancy is one really important factor in a master plan;Stig
The cutter I got from BRS- https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/ro-tube-cutter-highly-recommended.html.
I went with Melev's reef because of the attention to detail he puts in these RO/DI units. I needed a boost pump because my water pressure is about 20psi at that line and he hand builds all of his units,
not only does he hand build them he uses top notch membranes like Spectrapure. This system is way better than the six stage that BRS sells as this comes with a boost pump.
http://www.melevsreef.com/product/150-gpd-boosted-rodi-system
I get about 80-90 psi from this unit boosted;Wideyed

Thanks for the input on the RODI! Great info to know.
Sorry to hear about your dad and sending good vibes for a speedy recovery!

I can tell that the tank is maturing nicely as I have a little diatom bloom and my chaeto has grown 10x. The cheato started about baseball size and has now completely fill the fuge area.
I ordered 2 of the new Kamoer X1 dosing pumps-https://www.coralvue.com/kamoer-x1-wifi-doser
Going to dose ATI Essential Pro diluted at 1:4 ratio as seen here - https://www.atinorthamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/ATI_Essentials_Pro_Getting_Started.pdf
My auto water change is going well and doing 1.5 gallons Fritz mix seawater every 24hours.
Nitrate-0 was at 100 when I added the chaeto
PH- 7.82-7.92- hoping this will go up when I raise the ALK
Cal- 420
dkh- 6-6.5 this is so low!! I think the very low dose of ATI Essentials Pro will solve this issue
Mag- 1330
I really want this solved cause I plan on coral by the end of the week.
Winter depression has got me bad so I just need to concentrate on my tank.

Not sure why your dkh would be so low. Did a quick look and Fritz seems to come in around 8-9 dkh so I would assume yours would be higher. Thats some crazy chaeto growth for such a new system and high nitrate too, could have something to do with the low alk. Anyway a quick and easy fix would be baked baking soda to raise it where you want. It will also help with raising PH but that would be temporary. I personally dont even monitor my PH any longer.

Looks good! You find any pods in your chaeto/chaeto chamber?
Yes lots of pods wiggling around.

The crazy thing is my salt mix tests 7 @1.024. I have ATI essentials pro coming in next day or so and that will solve the problem.

Several things have been done since my last post.
A- Caught the Flu
B- Ran the airline from my skimmer to underneath the house to gain more O2.
C- Bought 2 of the new Kamoer X1 blue tooth pumps
D- Received ATI Essentials Pro and started the dose at 18ml per day and have since reduced it to 9ml a day till I get coral.
My PH has went up really well and is stable @ 8.02 -8.05 and KH is 7.5 and stable.

caught the flu?! bummer dude. feel better soon!
Yea it has a hold of me bad as I have a very bad immune system.

I had my phosphates tested today and they are .2 so I guess it's time to get a GFO reactor as my nitrates are zero.

See, without that GFO reactor, your immune system is compromised! J/K

Feel better soon!

Sitting here in my sickness;Hurting I have decided to up the Auto Water changes daily from 5678ml(1.5gallons) to 7570.82 ml(2gallons) and see if that balances out the phosphates a little more.
My PO4 was .2 so I am not really worried about it yet unless I should be but either way the water changes should take care of it till I start heavy feeding with corals added.

I have a really ugly diatom bloom(I hope it is diatoms if it is Dinos then this tank is done and I will start over). I am ordering a Microscope to verify what algae it is- https://www.amazon.com/Gosky-Micros...07CT94VHZ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
The parameters are on point so other than this algae it is ready for coral.
My mother is in the hospital so once a day testing and updating my threads are bout all I have time for.
If this is dinos I will tear the tank down and start over.

Since posting in other threads about this algae it seems to be dinoflagellates. Since I know it is a losing battle and the tank being so young the best thing for me to do
is take the tank down and start over or sell off what I can.
