It the coming months, we are going to set up a 93g cube as a clownfish harem.

We (wife and I) have some question.

We'd like to add other corals, inverts etc, for a more diversified aquarium, rather than just nems and clownfish. We're just concerned about the nems killing what ever else is in there.

With the rockscape, we plan on using hand sized pieces, so we can move it and the nem that's on it to a diffetent location, if needed for any reasons. Done in this manor, we're hoping to add mushrooms, zoes, green & yellow star polyps, etc.

Other suggestions ?

Same questions on clownfish species, which can be together ?

I know we can read books (I prefer to discuss here) but, what different species of nems can be housed together ?

We have a stunning, .....neon green Carpet nem, that we will transfer to the cube. He stays anywhere we place him, so I'll try to put "Mr Berber" on a bottom corner.

The guys at BRS added their fish all at once, so in our 93g cube, how many can we add at one time ? We will use a lot of our well established live rock, not just the white dead rock and use a bottled bacteria for the cycle.

We really want something different, diverse and hopefully,... unique,..... people !

Love those Harem tanks!! It might be worth putting a block of Marine Pure into your current setup now to start populating and throwing it into the cube when you're ready. That should make adding a lot of clowns in 1 shot easier on your parameters.
For me I have a nearly naked paired with a midnight in one tank and a DaVinci paired with a Black/White Misbar in another. Personally I love the color contrast between black and orange.

I've used the spheres in my Reefer overflow and I put 2 of the flat blocks in the sump for about 2 months before starting up a new cube. I left the spheres in the overflow but I put the blocks under the Cube sand bed at startup, added a bottle of Biospira (Just to be sure) and added the first 2 clowns that night. I never saw an Ammonia or Nitrite spike and Nitrates never over 15. The tank had a very small diatom bloom but once I dropped a few snails in they knocked it out in a hurry. The way I look at it the cube is a clone of my main display.

I'm sure you'll do your own research but 1 block of this stuff has an insane amount of surface area. Gives you options on how much rock-work you actually need.

This was taken 12/5. Fish added 11/23.
