I have seen bats in my house, and literally this is the stuff of my nightmares..........
See, if a bat flew into my house, I would have a new bat friend... I would make it a little bat house, make sure it had a little bat water dish.

Haha! Well...this is a new one for me! I agree with the others in here. Carbon and a water change will be the safe guards. Likely the bacteria in your tank are already taking care of the situation.

Not to derail, but if anyone enjoyed this thread, I highly recommend this one. His blenny literally jumped onto him while he was sleeping in the middle of the night...

Can't say I've seen this before. I think I've seen a few threads about this happening with mice, so this should basically be the same. Fish can't carry rabies or any other mammal-borne disease, so you should be good there. I'd do a parameter test and a water change if values are off, same as I'd do if a fish died. It's very gross, but it shouldn't affect the tank all that much.

Having had to go through a wonderful rabies vaccine regiment, I would wind up restarting the entire tank. I'm not messing with rabies. There aren't many studies on rabies survival periods in water. The one I could find said 144 hours. I'm not risking it.
