Hey all.
It has been a while since my last little reef build. The Mrs. and I are in the process of moving, so a new larger setup is out of the question. Not sure if I want to go reefing fallow though, so I’m setting up a tiny reef tank on my desk to keep the coral side of my brain happy until I can set up a larger system. Also, it will be so much easier to move a tiny reef when that time comes
I actually design and build small pico tanks and supplies for my LFS, but I’ll be making this one for myself, just for my enjoyment
This little reef is hopefully going to remain simple, but I have a knack for complicating things haha. I’ll start off with some Zoas and go from there; a tiny mixed reef would be fun.
For now, equipment will be as follows:
Tank: Obsidian Ocean Laboratory O6 AIO
Light: Zetlight M1
Heater: 10w usb
Filtration: Media basket with filter foam, ceramic media, and carbon.
-Upgrades will probably be made, but for now I think that this is a solid start-
Maintenance routine will be about a 30% weekly water change, cleaning the display, and replacing filter media as needed. Not much to it! I should be able to get the tank wet this week to start the cycling process. Thanks for tagging along with me on this new *tiny* adventure!
