A few questions

Hi again!

In the event of a power outage (like now), how long can my 60 gallon go before I should aerate for oxygen?

How long will my tank ugly phase go for? I'm at 6 weeks and I have a bloom of diatoms (again) and green algae. The green algae us on my dry rock and will cover my glass if I don't watch.

Nitrates/nitrites/ammonia all at 0.....though I call shenanigans on 0 nitrates. My nitrates have always been about 10 or 15.

Phosphates are between 0 and .25.

Mg levels are over 1800 to combat my bryopsis.

Lights (hydra leds) are on for 8 hours.

Any livestock? Oops, just saw pics. I would get an airstone in immediately. O2 can drop fast in some instances. Especially in a new tank where bacteria could bloom.

In a bind you can always use H2O2 to give a small O2 boost stir the water while the power is out.
What do you have in your tank?
H2O2 will beat any and all of that algae

As twilliard said, you can use h2o2. Just add maybe 1ml/gal every 12 hours (this is the algae dose, but would be safe). With that load, more would be safe too.

In a pinch I would think you could vigorously stir the surface of the water to manually aerate and circulate the water through the live rock.

If you have a walmart in your area they also sell a battery powered air stone. Its usually back in the fishing supplies and is used to keep live bait alive

A couple of battery powered air pumps will get you through most po's. As you add more livestock, you may want to look into an UPS or generator. If you go with VorTech pumps, the battery backup is great. Saved my tank a couple of times this year.
