so ive been battleing dynoflagents for a few months and need some advice illtryand give good info. bestresults have been blackouts for 3 to 5 days but they come right back in a week. they are rust colored and stringy inplaces current tank specs are as follows
age 1 year
95% coraline coverage
salinity 33
temp 82 raised from 78 a week ago cause i was told it would help
ph 8.1
alk 8.85
ca 385
mag 1400
nitrate 5 tested daily by reef bot
po4 .01-.02 tested daily by reefbot
protein skimmer active
bio pellet reactor active
no chaeto at moment
1 core 20 and 2 reefwave 45 one reefwave was bad last week but i replaced it
dont know what to do

water change is automatic at 5 gallons per day and ato tds is at zero
tank is 400 gallon mixed reef hope i covered most everything

i do dose vibrant once a week for algea maintainance

First thing first is a picture.

Then a microscope ID to confirm it's dino's and of what species. Depending on species is how you will combat it.

phosphate and nitrate to assure levels aren’t elevated
Blow loose with a turkey baster. It will capture and clean more surface area. Here is full program:
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15%) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly
