So for some reason I really don't trust my refractometer. I don't trust my salinity probe nor my hydrometer nor by other hydrometer. ( two different style) because it seems none are close to each other. The Neptune salinity probe reads 24.4 ( and that's after calibrating in a 53000 solution) four times and carefully watching BRS how to. The hydrometers are lower in the 1.020 range. My refractometer says 1.026.

My question is I calibrated it with fresh RO/DI water at zero then took calibration fluid at 53000 ( a in the bottle one from BRS and it calibrates it at 1.026, I used a calibration fluid for the Neptune probe which says it for 53000 but the refractometer says less. ( forgot exactly but lower) what am I doing wrong. Gee I know I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other and old on top of it but gee.
( I just realized with the hydrometers maybe I should turn off pumps and maybe see if they stabilize?)
