What is your recommendation for using Reef Vitality in help reducing Cyano/brown algae on sand bed/rocks? I have used NOPOX for about one month, and have the same problems with cyano.
Thank you for sharing!!

Reef Vitality works by feeding corals with the nutrients available in tank and in doing that I believe there is a reduction of nutrients that feed Cyano. I might be wrong but since dosing RV my cyano issues are gone. I dose according to the instructions, 1 capsule for 500Lts every 4 days. There is a friend of mine using Fauna Marin Coral Balance instead and with very similar results.

To use RV you have to make sure water parameters are very stable, optimal and corals are healthy. If not you can have some issues mainly with sps corals darkening in more shaded areas or even losing tissue. make sure you start using half of the recommended doses and reduce dosage of aminos and trace elements.

Interesting to see how does doser compares to kore 5th. Do update us [emoji1303]

Without any usage just seeing specs, the kore 5th doser has one more channel and more bells and whistles. The 4 channel Arka costs $230 and and the 5 channel Kore 5th costs $580. As I haven't tried any and my only aim is to automatically shake and dose I would rather get the slave model for the ARKA making it a 8 channel doser as it is still cheaper than the kore 5th.

Very nice Christmas gift! Let us know how it works out. I am planning a build and will look to include Balling method to my tank. I was so impressed with your tank and the fish and coral health!! Love the video of the eel. What coral did you pick up at Jatujak?

I am sorry, it has been such a long time, I have been dealing with some issues and lacked the confidence /motivation to post. Meanwhile I got a new tank and despite I kept posting a few videos on youtube, I just kept on isolating myself and feeling a bit depressed. I need to kick myself, and do something to move on. My apologies to you and to all.

Then I decided to order a new tank, just a small upgrade from 150g to 180g. I was very excited as the new tank would keep me busy for a while, I wanted to forget the routine and that I didn't have a job and that would keep me busy for a while.

The tank was built to my specifications and I kept receiving pics.

I also asked for a mechanism to raise the canopy for which I provided a pair of linear actuators and paid extra money. All plumbing, sump overflow box would be done by myself as agreed.

The tank went back to fix some of the issues, most of the scratches were removed and the panel on the back replaced with a new one. The front and side panels are made of low iron glass and the back panel is regular glass.

The time was passing finally in August I got some more pics...

So sorry to hear you are having difficulties. Your old tank looked great. I hope the merchant is working with you to fix all those issues. I am sure you will get through this and have another beautiful tank as you are obviously gifted when it comes to corals and fish. :)

I was asked to go there and check out the tank one night at 10pm, the tank was outside his home exposed to the elements and the mechanism to lift the canopy was a complete joke. Right away I was told the mechanism couldn't hold any kind of weight..
I was asked for more money to redo the mechanism, so I asked to delivery the tank like it was.
The tank was delivered with a useless lift mechanism and other issues.
