Last night, I did my usual nightly sweep through the tank with a flashlight just before bed. It was then that I noticed literally thousands of tiny tadpole looking creatures throughout the water column. They were maybe 1/8in long. Clear photos were nearly impossible, but I managed a few. Took a video as well. This morning they were not visible.

That was one thought, however, how would they have gotten in the tank? I do feed frozen brine and mysis, but those should be dead.

Mysis. Typically come in on live rock or otherwise corals. They reproduce like rabbits so even a few will multiply quickly. My sandbed literally looks alive at night.

Looks like mysis to me!

I have no clue how they happen but I had some in my tank before I did a 100% clean of my tank and haven’t seen since. Maybe came on a frag or something. I have heard rumors that frozen mysis can become alive again but not sure if it’s true or not.

Very, very interesting. Thanks everyone! I did add 5 new frags yesterday. They were dipped in Revive before going in the tank. If they came from those and multiplied by that many in about 8hrs that's insane.
If the frozen shrimp theory is possible, that's also very interesting.
