I am also having issues with connecting this light. From the reading I have done it seems I may have a defective light.

When I turn the light on, the LEDs briefly illuminate, the fan comes on, then both go off. All 3 indicator lights on the top begin to flash. If I attempt a factory reset, nothing happens.

In the app, it prompts me to connect to the light's wifi network which i am able to do. When I then go back to the app to connect to my wifi network (2.4 named differently), it says scan failed and no networks are found.

I have tried tondirect connect, but gwt the attached error message.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Would you happen to have a link where I could download the latest version of the app? Not just the update?

I updated the App and lost my connection to the lights. I can't seem to connect to any of the lights now. Anyone else having problems with Version 3.1.23?

Has anyone figured out how to extend the ramp up and ramp down period? My app only seems to only allow me to turn on full AB+ for the entire photo period then ramp down in only a few minutes time.

I updated the App and lost my connection to the lights. I can't seem to connect to any of the lights now. Anyone else having problems with Version 3.1.23?
im having issues. lights not connecting and says its offline or it shows this

I have no proplems to connect directly, bit i failed tonconnect to a network.
It finds the Network and i can enter the passwort but then it tries to connect but it says failed.

Not a big deal i can use the light in direct mode and make chances there, but id would be nice because i have two of them.

I have a homenetwork 2.4ghz without Internet. My Redsea doser are running on it with no problem.
Is the Internet the problem?

I am having an issue where one of my 2x A8 Pro II Max lights just doesn't come on randomly. It will be fine for a week or longer then all of a sudden, one of the lights just doesn't come on in the morning (but the other light still does).

The only fix that I have found so far, is to turn the light from "Auto" to "Manual" and then back to "Auto" again. It resumes its schedule alongside the other light. The two lights are synced so when I do this, both lights go to manual and back to auto. It will then be fine for another week or so and the same light will randomly just not come on in the morning again... repeating the process.

I've tried contacting the seller on AliExpress but of course, it looks like they are no longer selling anything and they have not responded to any of my messages. AliExpress won't help me because it has been longer than the 14 day buyer protection period (bought the lights 6 months ago and the issue started about 1-2 months ago). It's supposed to have a 1yr warranty.

Speaking with my LFS that had been testing out one of these lights, they had the exact same issue with the light just randomly not coming on.

Has anyone got any contact information for Aipai or any way of contacting the manufacturer?

Better yet, has anyone found a permanent fix for this problem?

Hey, thank you. I found it lastnight using AI..lol... now just trying to connect...its been hours...once i connect to my local router/wifi...that's the glitch for me atleast...

I've had these lights for a while and I can connect to them and set them up by suspending my 5 and 6 ghz internet. however, once that initial setup period is done I can never reconnect to them unless I go through the entire process of reseting them and redoing all the settings again. Any tips?

Can you tell me what the "pilot lamp" button is in the main menu? and is there any way to turn off the flashing or constantly burning three buttons on the lamp itself? thanks

I figured I would update this thread in case anyone else runs into the issue that I had with one of my lights randomly not coming on at the set time, from my earlier post.

I ended up doing a firmware update on both lights, which caused me to have re-add both of the lights to the App and set them up again. That seems to have resolved my issue.

Yes I just posted an update above. I did a firmware update (different than updating the software/app) and had to then re-add the lights back into the App and set them up again.

Thanks Racsoh for the guide — it’ll been incredibly helpful.

I’ve just purchased three A8 Pro II Max units for my reef tank and plan to mount them between my four Radion XR15 G5 Pros on a Waterbox Peninsula 7225.

For those already running the A8 Pro II Max, what intensity would you recommend starting at? I assume they don’t have an acclimation mode like the Radions.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of information online about these lights yet. Are owners generally happy with their performance and SPS growth long term?

Any recommended schedules or settings for a mixed reef transitioning towards SPS would also be greatly appreciated.
