Well I wasnt sure if I was going to do a tank build thread again but here we go...

I have been in the hobby over 14 years and had 3 different mixed reef tanks. First was a 90 gallon then I upgraded to a 72X24X24 AGE custom tank which unfortunately sprung a leak and I ended up taking it down after losing everything. I then moved and ended up with a redsea 350 which is what I currently have today.

Recently I started to get the itch again to get a bigger tank so I thought about a bigger red sea until my local store owner Jake asked me why dont I just get a Planet Aquarium tank. I started looking and ended up going with a custom 60X24X30 external overflow tank with pvc bottom.
I have always wanted to go bare bottom so that is the plan with the new tank. I will be carrying over some of the equipment from the rr350 including the lights and I am planing a 3-4 month cycle.

I have been very selective with all the equipment but some things were definitely chosen for looks not that I think they wont function any different than some other brands but Ill get into that at a later date.

A quick overview of the planed system:

Planet Aquarium Display 180 gallon
Planet Aquarium 36 inch tall stand
Reef Synergy CL-50 Sump
Modular Marine 3600 gph overflow
Apex control system
Radium Gen 4 XR-30 Pro X3
Aquatic life T5 hybrid
Triton system with Apex Dos (current) moving to CA reactor
Apex Trident

I finished the tank plumbing last weekend
Used 1.5 inch for the bean animal drains and 1 inch for the returns that are plumbed seperate for left and right side and gives me redundency by running two return pumps.

Ok decided to update this. I transferred my corals December 25. I was surprised that In less than a week I already saw coraline algae on the bottom of the tank.
Its been two weeks now and all the frags I transferred have encrusted their base.

Today I put the Ca reactor online. Up until now I have been running two part but with the same corals just moved to this tank my two part consumption went from 25 ml a day to 75 ml a day to keep my alk at 8.6

I switched my dosing Calcium reactor continuous dosing pump to a Ecotech Versa. So far I like it and its much quieter than the Kamoer it replaces but it seems it cant do continuous dosing at different rates yet. I would like to dose at one rate at night and a higher rate when the lights are on but that does not seem possible in the Mobius app yet. The other issue is Mobius is not on a webserver and I really hope that changes soon.

All those incredible sticks and no pictures?!?

I need to get some pictures because a tank thread without them is not a good tank thread lol plus its great to see progress.
Promise to do this soon!
BTW I would like to thank @Servo and @FarmerTy for the incredible frags.
