I am considering adding a magnificent fox face.
Kind of looking for someone else’s thoughts on this since I have a large yellow tang and a medium whitetail bristletooth in the tank already.

My reason is struggling to get rid of bubble algae. I have 3 emeralds in there but nah.
180 gallon
Nitrates 7.8
Phos 0.09

Alk 9.2

Ph 8.35

Foxes are a great addition and very able to look after themselves without being aggressive.
Thanks for your insight. Thoughts on the magnificent in general ?

I think you are okay to add one. I have one in my 900L with Tangs, Triggers, and many different kinds of fish without issue.

I was just worried about aggression really. Yellow has been in there for 11yrs.
- yellow tang
- whitetail bristletooth
- bartletts anthias x 4
- starry blenny
- mandarin fish.
So not really overly stocked right now in my opinion so I am really considering it.

I did. Unfortunately not really eating my bubble algae. But he’s cool.
They are hit and miss with bubble. As I often do although its been a Long time, Take a small needle and have 3/8 tubing ready and attach to end of tubing with rubber band and pop each one and siphon at same time- You will have removed all spores and foreign material in area.
Had to do this in the past with birdsnest coral and was gone 100%.
Other option is to add pitho crabs or emerald crabs (which I do not trust) which will eat them

Yeah I have 4 emeralds also, lol. They do eat some but my tank is loaded. I guess I need to be more vigilant at manually removing.
