Now this is a continue of the thread I made about a lonely Clarkii found HERE.

I added the second Clarkii which is a lot smaller then the current one. However after adding the second Clarkii the bigger one has been going after the little guy for a little while now. Thankfully the little dude is much faster and really hasnt been hit yet but it looks like it will be a ticking time bomb. Now I know Clarkii's can be aggressive but how long will this go back an forth?

my biggest worry is it will stress out the little guy and kill it.

Update:

The new clarkii is hanging around at the top of the water in the corner now as the big one keeps looking at it from below.

Sorry, I had tomatoes, but oddly the female accepted the male immediately, despite their reputation. I have no experience with Clarkiis, but maybe someone will chime in if I give this a bump.

Did you move the rocks around as I suggested? Are the lights off?

If the large clown keeps attacking the small one remove the large to a container for awhile.

Update:

Last night I did a little cleaning on the glass this time before moving the rock. I took out few gallons of water and put it in a bucket with a heater then put the big Clarkii in that bucket. Then I moved the rocks all around and let the little guy swim around a bit with the lights off before adding the big Clarkii. I have left the lights on all night and this morning they turned on automatically but soon after I turned them back off again. They still seem to go at it and the little dude is stuck by the heater. It isn't near as bad as it was but I do hope they become friends :D

They are beautiful. I am leaning towards a Clarkii pair for my next tank (says the person who hasn't even finished cycling the current tank).
