Adding of dryrock

I originally had aprox 190 lbs of live rock in my system.

I got a killer deal on 60 lbs of dry rock in great shape. Now the LFS (who specializes in Saltwater) said I should be ok just to add it to the system since i have so much live rock.

I took the extra step. Adding new Phosband stuff to my reactor and new biopellets and got them cranking away, do you think I should go do a water change as well, I have aprox 130 gallon of total water volume and I have 50 Gallons of RO/DI Water sitting and waiting

It won't hurt to do a water change....if the rock wasn't cured ot could cause a mini cycle but shouldn't affect the tank to bad.

You'll be fine. Why not wait on the WC unitl the rock has been in there a week.

Ya I agree, things will probably be just fine. Keep a little prime on hand just in case you get a little ammonia spike.

Thanks guys, got prime on hand plus 55 gallons of Ro/Di water ready, my reactors phosphate and bio pellets are working great and the sump is stocked and filled with LR and I finally got some shelves in my tank.
