Has anyone used the Caribsea African Cichlid Mix for substrate. It looks just like the Aragonite but I am not sure what the "mix" is.

It really wasn't that bad. We had 1 marineland 600 and 1 900 powerheads in a 55 gallon and it didn't blow the sand around at all. The Cichlids on the other hand would move the sand where they wanted it lol. but it never clouded the tank once.

Thanks for the info. I am ditching my 15 year old Florida crushed coral that has been used, stored, used, stored again and again. My local PetsMart has Aragonite sand but no Aragonite with larger partical size that that. They do have the white African Cichlid Mix. I think give will give it a try.

Don't have anything worth taking a picture of right now. Yesterday I switched aquariums and didn't rise my old crushed coral enough and ended up killing my mated pair of mocha gladiator clowns. I have stored the old crushed coral in buckets for years and it was stored wet so basically my fault for forgetting to clean it prior to using it.. Don't want a repeat so its time to get rid of the old and buy some new.
