Ok. If it is more or less gallons would it explain algae issues etc?
Algae can be due to:
High organic content
Lights too bright
Tank at or near window
Lack of cleaner crew
High nitrate and/or phosphate level
Using Tap water

When you get an opportunity, take a water sample to an LFS that Preferably does NOT use API test kits and have them test the following and see what numbers they come up with

Ammonia
Nitrate
Phosphate
PH

Are you using an RODI unit or water from the faucet with water conditioner?

Alright. Im using an RODI unit. Although the algae has been cleared up for now. I'm just trying to prepare for future algae attacks.

You can also do like I did and get a super good cuc.
I have high phos and nitrates and feed a ton and see minimal alge in the areas of the tank where the cuc get.

Here's a picture of the tank now. I haven't wiped the dried water off the glass because I don't really notice it anymore.

Hey @vetteguy53081 could you help me with a hair algae problem?

Recently my tank is starting having excessive amount of hair allergy growth.
Not sure why this is happening.
Nitrate is 10 and phosphate is 0.06.

What do you recommend?
Any cleanup crews or something that I can dose to kill it?

Thank you!

Honestly for me reduce your nitrates. Maybe even use this Blue Life RX Flux Here

Ok I will see what he thinks.

I don’t want to reduce nitrates much. Corals like it at that spot.

Both of those advice are not good.

You need to find a herbivore to consume it. If you can’t, then you manually remove it.
