I would brake the sump up, clean it, sterilize and get new media there. Generally you don’t need much media in a sump. Act before they spread into DT.
I can't break down the entire sump at the moment. What you see in the pic is just the 2nd smaller sump. The other one is a big sump and houses all the equipment. I only found a couple small ones in that area a nd used the aip x on t hem. a larger one on a bag of media which I took out

I second berghia, they will thrive in a sump. But pullem when your done or they will starve out. I took @vetteguy53081 advice about the blue head Klein and I'm prepping it for the big display soon as the filefish was a bust and the peppermint shrimp will be expensive dining for the hawkfishes and halichoeres wrasses I have.
I'll see if I can locate the blue head klein. Maybe 2. 1 for sump and 1 for display. I'd also like to find some berghias
